Currently Central Government employees and other state employees get Dearness Allowance at the rate of 46 per cent under Central Government Pay Commission. But in our state that amount is 10 percent. A fresh 4 percent has been announced. But it will be implemented from May. Meanwhile, there is news again that the Center will increase the dearness allowance of its employees by 4% (DA Hike News).
However, the discrepancy was precisely 36%. “As a result, the standard of state government employees is decreasing day by day,” the speaker continued. Actually, the state’s economy is being harmed. In reference to the state government’s hike in dearness allowance, he declared, “We are not happy with the increase in Dearness Allowance of the state.” We received 4 percent because our arrears were 36 percent there. The larger problem is that while the minimum wage is rising, the state government is not keeping up with it.”
There are several cases of people working for less than the minimum wage in different state government offices. We desire for it to end. The worker will show up for work, refuse to work, and go on a hunger strike in protest of not receiving their Dearness Allowance or any arrears.
We are planning a march from Subodh Mallick Square to Rani Rasmani Road on the third of next month. There will be a gathering. We are also planning to declare a statewide strike on May 6 and 7.
