Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada says “When women are stoned to death, they say it’s a violation of women’s rights… but now it’s the punishment for adultery. We will publicly flog women. I will be stoned to death in public”.
He also said, ”Democracy is a symbol of Satan and we will continue to fight against it as representatives of God”. According to him, what Western democracies say about women’s rights is contrary to the Taliban’s Islamic Sharia law.
